About this guide
thisHUSH covers comfort, quiet and air-quality gear, not health. Nothing on this site is medical advice: for sleep, breathing or hearing concerns, talk to a doctor.
Choose SleepPhones Wireless if you want adjustable speakers inside a washable fabric headband; choose Bedphones Wireless if you prefer earhooks and no headband. SleepPhones is our default for a headband shopper, with a current maker-rated 24-hour battery, versus Bedphones' 13-hour rating. Put the fit preference first: neither construction establishes comfort on your pillow or active noise cancellation.
Quick picks
- Best headband: SleepPhones Wireless. Choose between warm Fleece and breathable, moisture-wicking Breeze, then measure for the band size.
- Best without a headband: Bedphones Wireless. Shape its rubber-coated memory-wire earhooks and adjust the cable slider instead of choosing a fabric-band size.

These are published features, not measurements under matching conditions. In particular, the battery figures do not establish a like-for-like runtime advantage at your listening level.
- Yes: Prefer a fabric headband: start with SleepPhones Wireless
- Yes: Prefer earhooks without a headband: start with Bedphones Wireless
- Partly: Pillow comfort and audibility to a bed partner: check with your own setup
- No: Need active noise cancellation: neither is our ANC pick
Best headband: SleepPhones Wireless
SleepPhones puts thin speakers inside a fabric band, and the speakers move independently so you can position them over your ears. That makes it our starting recommendation if you already like wearing a headband: choose the fabric and size, then align each speaker rather than accepting fixed speaker spacing.

Check package and model options
- 24 h battery
The current Wireless product page lists a 24-hour battery, Bluetooth 5.0 AAC, and volume and play/pause controls on the module. It describes Fleece as warm and Breeze as breathable and moisture-wicking. Choose Breeze if that fabric description suits you better; it is not evidence of a measured temperature difference.
The trade-off is managing a band and removable components. You must remove the speakers, module and cord for washing, then reposition the speakers afterward. Measure first rather than assuming Medium, and include the module's position in your pillow-fit check.
The Amazon card covers Medium, Midnight Black Fleece. For Breeze or another size, use the maker's fabric and size options.
Best without a headband: DubsLabs Bedphones Wireless
Bedphones is the stronger choice if you dislike fabric around your head. DubsLabs describes foam-covered, on-ear speakers less than a quarter inch thick, supported by rubber-coated memory-wire earhooks. Its fitting instructions say to form smooth bends without kinks and angle the speaker so the foam lies flat against the ear.
Wireless still has a connecting cable: DubsLabs says you can route it in front of or behind your neck and tighten the slider. Its battery is non-removable in a shell below the left earhook, with the charging port on the remote below the right earhook. Check those pieces against your pillow as well as the speakers.
The selector identifies Wireless as SKU 861926000228 and Wired as SKU 861926000266. Wired uses a 3.5mm plug and needs an appropriate adapter for Lightning or USB-C ports; it is not the Bluetooth version reviewed here. Do not choose by the shared “Bedphones Sleep Headphones” title alone.
There is also conflicting controls copy on the product page: the generic hands-free section says single-button remote, while the Wireless-specific section says three buttons, including volume. Confirm the Wireless remote shown for the supplied version before ordering.

How we choose
This is a comparison of manufacturer specifications and instructions, without physical product testing. We prioritize the mounting method, speaker adjustment, source-device connection, care and purchase terms. Battery figures stay attributed to their makers; we have no common runtime test behind them.
The sources establish construction and controls, not an independent comfort or sound-quality ranking. We do not infer isolation from a thin speaker or fabric band, or promise that your bed partner will hear nothing. Our full editorial method is on How we choose.
Buying guide
Fit: earhooks, headband sizing and your pillow
Neither product is a conventional over-ear headphone with a cup surrounding the ear, and neither needs an in-ear tip. Bedphones is an on-ear mount; SleepPhones places moveable speakers over your ears inside the band. If “comfortable sleep headphones” is your search, start by deciding which mounting method you would willingly wear.
For SleepPhones, measure around your forehead just above the ears and around your hair at the back. Its sizing guidance publishes these head-circumference ranges:
Small
- Maker's circumference guide (cm)
- 51–54
Medium
- Maker's circumference guide (cm)
- 55–59
Large
- Maker's circumference guide (cm)
- 60–63+

| Small | 51–54 |
| Medium | 55–59 |
| Large | 60–63+ |
The maker recommends the smaller size between sizes and says a loose band lets speakers move around. Adjust each speaker over your ear before judging the fit. For Bedphones, shape each earhook separately and check the speaker angle rather than merely tightening the cable.
Try your normal pillow on your back and each side, then roll over. Check whether you notice an earhook, speaker edge, remote or module; check the fit with glasses if you wear them. At the volume you plan to use, ask your bed partner whether playback is audible. These are acceptance checks to perform during the return period, not outcomes the specifications can promise.
Your phone supplies the audio
Both Wireless models pair with a Bluetooth audio source. Plan to play your music, audiobook or other audio from that source; SleepPhones' Wireless information explicitly distinguishes it from the separate Simple model with preloaded tracks. Check the controls while lying down before deciding that you can leave your phone out of reach.
For Bedphones, the Wireless-specific controls list calls, play/pause/skip and volume. SleepPhones lists volume and play/pause on its module. If a playback cutoff matters, check the timer in your chosen player rather than assuming the headphone battery rating is a timer. For a TV, confirm that its audio output can send to Bluetooth headphones before ordering.
Battery and charging: do not mix generations
DubsLabs gives Wireless a 13-hour battery rating and specifies micro-USB charging with the supplied cable. Current SleepPhones product pages say 24 hours and a four-hour charge. Neither cited product page supplies a shared volume or codec test condition, so use these ratings for planning rather than predicting your exact runtime.
SleepPhones' official documents need particular care. The main product page specifies micro-USB, while the Shopify product page specifies USB-C. An older Wireless information page says up to 10 hours of playback and a three-hour charge; the linked Wireless manual also says charging typically takes up to three hours. Those figures differ from the current product pages. Match the supplied generation, connector and cable rather than combining the longest battery claim with an older charging specification.
SleepPhones Classic is corded, while Effortless uses an induction charger. Neither name is interchangeable with Wireless. Before buying either pick, confirm the included charging cable and arrange a compatible USB power source.
Washing and replacement parts
SleepPhones' care instructions say to remove speakers, module and cord, wash the band in warm water, skip fabric softener and reinstall the components only when dry. Right is marked red; left is green; the softer gray speaker side faces your ear.
There is a drying conflict: the care page recommends the highest dryer setting for at least 30 minutes, while its sizing-and-care FAQ prefers low heat. Ask SleepPhones which instruction applies to your band; those pages should not be presented as one consistent drying procedure.
SleepPhones sells replacement bands and speaker options. A headband-only purchase has no speakers; the Wireless speakers-only option has no Bluetooth module. Match replacement components to your existing module before ordering.
DubsLabs lists replacement foams for all Bedphones generations, including Wireless. That supports replacing the foam, not machine washing the headset; the cited Bedphones instructions do not establish a laundry procedure. Ask DubsLabs for cleaning instructions beyond the documented foam replacement.
Holiday gifts: check the version and the exit
Buy the recipient's preferred mounting style, not a promised comfort result. For SleepPhones, settle size, fabric and connector; for Bedphones, confirm Wireless SKU 861926000228. Keep the included cable and packaging together.
DubsLabs' direct-purchase return policy allows returns within 30 days, requires an RMA number and makes the customer responsible for return shipping and packaging. SleepPhones' return page asks for the entire purchase, including packaging. Check the actual seller's return deadline and any gift extension before ordering; do not assume a manufacturer policy covers a reseller purchase.
Match the version
Check Wireless, the supplied connector and the complete kit.
Fit on the real pillow
Adjust speakers, then check the mount and electronics while turning over.
Try the actual audio
Confirm source controls, any player timer and audibility to a bed partner.
Keep an exit
Save packaging and check the seller's return deadline before opening a gift.
Verdict
SleepPhones Wireless is our headband pick for its adjustable speakers, washable band and current 24-hour rating. Bedphones Wireless is our pick for someone who prefers adjustable earhooks and no headband. Choose by that preference first, then verify the exact version, charging connection and return terms; neither published design settles pillow comfort for you.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better, Bedphones Wireless or SleepPhones Wireless?
Choose SleepPhones Wireless if you want speakers inside a fabric headband that you can wash after removing the electronics. Choose Bedphones Wireless if you prefer shaping earhooks around each ear. Our default for a headband shopper is SleepPhones; someone who dislikes a band should start with Bedphones. Neither recommendation guarantees comfort against your particular pillow.
Are these over-ear sleep headphones or earbuds?
Neither uses a conventional over-ear cup or an in-ear tip. DubsLabs describes Bedphones as on-ear headphones with memory-wire earhooks. SleepPhones has thin speakers that move inside a fabric band, positioned over your ears. If your search for over ear sleep headphones means something that surrounds the whole ear, neither is that design. Decide whether you want earhooks or fabric before comparing battery ratings.
Will Bedphones or SleepPhones cancel noise?
Regard these as personal audio choices, not ANC picks. DubsLabs explicitly says Bedphones is not noise-cancelling and creates no ear seal. SleepPhones describes using playback for sound masking rather than active cancellation. Neither description establishes how much of a particular sound you will hear, or whether a bed partner will hear your playback. Check your own listening level and room before deciding to keep either pair.
Do SleepPhones Wireless charge with USB-C?
The maker's current Shopify product page says an included USB-C cable and a four-hour charge, while its main Wireless product page says an included micro-USB cable and the same charging duration. That is an unresolved conflict between official pages. Ask the seller to confirm the connector on the supplied unit. Effortless, which uses an induction charger, is a separate model.
Can you wash Bedphones and SleepPhones?
SleepPhones explicitly allows machine washing the fabric headband after removing the speakers, cords and Bluetooth module; reinstall everything only when the band is dry. Bedphones has replaceable speaker foams, but the cited product and fitting instructions do not establish a machine-washing procedure for the headset. Do not transfer SleepPhones' laundry instructions to Bedphones. Confirm any additional cleaning procedure with DubsLabs.
