About this guide
thisHUSH covers comfort, quiet and air-quality gear, not health. Nothing on this site is medical advice: for sleep, breathing or hearing concerns, talk to a doctor.
For a small room, start with the Levoit Core 200S-P, provided your delivered order meets the cap: Levoit rates it for 140 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour, with app schedules. Choose the Core Mini-P only for a much smaller space—53 sq ft on the same basis—or the blue IKEA UPPÅTVIND for button-selected speeds and a 75 square feet rating at five air changes per hour.
Official-source review: November 2, 2026. These are conditional buying picks, not verified delivered-price offers. Destination-specific shipping, tax, checkout discounts and Amazon availability have not been verified; no coupon is assumed.
Quick picks: room fit before checkout
“Standard-budget candidate” means the maker's displayed non-discounted unit offer was below the cap when reviewed; it does not certify your delivered total. The Core 300-P is separated because its non-discounted unit offer leaves effectively no allowance for tax or shipping.

ACH means air changes per hour. IKEA's room claim uses a slightly different frequency; the chart below compares only Levoit's matching ratings. These CADRs are manufacturer figures, not independently retrieved exact-model AHAM directory results.
Source: Official Levoit specifications linked in each selection below; these are room-sizing claims, not quiet-speed coverage.
Best small-room candidate: Levoit Core 200S-P
The 200S-P is our starting point because its room rating gives more scope than the Mini-P while retaining compact dimensions: 8.1 × 8.1 × 12.6 inches. Levoit specifies 90 CFM, but does not label that number smoke, dust or pollen. Regard it as the maker's general CADR.
The free VeSync app adds schedules, with Alexa and Google Assistant voice control; the purifier also has 2-, 4- and 8-hour timers. The US specification is AC 120 V, 60 Hz, and the box includes a pre-installed main filter. Its exact first spare is Core 200S-RF, sold on the current Core 200S-P filter page.
A source conflict matters: the purifier page gives 27–48 dB, while the replacement-filter page claims ≤26 dB in Sleep Mode. We retain both statements rather than silently choosing the smaller number. Neither establishes its room coverage at that quieter setting.
Check the current offer at Levoit. For the first spare, use the official Core 200S-RF filter.
Best button-controlled alternative: IKEA UPPÅTVIND, blue
Choose the blue US article 206.413.27 if you prefer selecting fan speeds with a button. IKEA specifies three speeds, an included EPA 12 particle filter, and placement upright or lying down. Its 75 square feet at five air changes per hour rating keeps this a small-space choice; EPA 12 is the filter's stated classification, not a reason to relabel it True HEPA.
The exact spare is UPPÅTVIND filter for particle removal, 905.514.98. IKEA recommends replacement after a maximum of six months. Its manual separately lists pre-filter cleaning every two to four weeks; the particle cartridge can only be replaced.
Check the color and article number. The older white 604.982.28 page says “Last chance”; the blue page is marked “New.” The white page also lists a 44 smoke CADR, which the blue page does not reproduce. We do not transfer that certification figure to the blue variant. IKEA's ZIP-code stock and delivery check still needs completing for both appliance and spare.
Check local stock and delivery at IKEA and check the matching particle filter.
Best tiny-space candidate: Levoit Core Mini-P
The selected US model is LAP-C161-WUS. At 6.5 × 6.5 × 10.4 inches and 2.2 lb, it is the compact pick, but its room limit is the important trade-off: 53 sq ft at 4.8 ACH. The much larger 254 sq ft headline is explicitly based on one ACH. Choose it for a genuinely tiny enclosed space, not simply because your room has a small desk.
An AC adapter and pre-installed filter are included. Order the LRF-C161-WUS replacement cartridge; the official single-filter page identifies that model and includes pre-filter, main-filter and activated-carbon stages.
Mini-P variants are confusing. Levoit separately sells “Core Mini-P with Night Light,” whose description also gives a small-room figure of 53 sq ft. The original Mini-P page itself mentions a night light in a lower paragraph, although its main feature list does not. Confirm the exact version if lighting matters. We could not confirm a model-specific replacement interval in the readable US sources, so do not assume the 200S-P's schedule applies.
Check the selected Mini-P at Levoit and check its exact single replacement filter.
More room if a promotion qualifies: Levoit Core 300-P
The Core 300-P offers the largest matching room rating here: 222 sq ft at 4.8 ACH, with a manufacturer CADR of 143 CFM, again without a pollutant label. It includes an Original filter. Use Core 300-P-RF for the first Original spare; Levoit recommends replacement every six to eight months.
Require a qualifying complete checkout before considering this promotion-dependent alternative. The product title says Core 300-P, but its specification model is Core 300. Lower down, the same page switches to text about Core 300S-P and its app; that copied block does not establish smart features for the selected model. Our Core 300 variant guide explains that buying fork.
The Core 300S-P stays outside this shortlist: its displayed maker offer exceeded the cap at this review, and no qualifying checkout was verified. A future sale would require a fresh eligibility check before comparison or a budget award.
Check the Core 300-P offer at Levoit and check its Original filter.
How we choose
This is a document-based comparison of official US product pages, available manual text, replacement-part pages and AHAM/EPA guidance. We prioritize room-size basis, usable controls, an identifiable replacement cartridge and a complete-order budget. Awards express our judgment from those documents; they are conditional on your checkout.
We attempted the AHAM directory, but did not retrieve exact-model certificates for these picks. The unlabelled manufacturer CADRs above remain unlabelled. Our full research method is on How we choose.
Buying guide: make the complete order work
Apply the cap to the amount you actually pay
Our rule is purifier + mandatory extras + shipping + tax − discounts that actually apply = checkout total. Include every required adapter or filter; do not count a subscription, membership, rebate or coupon saving until you have checked its terms and eligibility. Levoit's pages advertise free shipping, but that banner does not establish delivery terms for your address or another seller.
Measure the room
Match its area to the stated air-change basis, including connected open space.
Identify the full kit and spare
Confirm the US model, included filter, power supply and exact replacement cartridge.
Check the final cart
Count required items, shipping and tax; use only discounts that actually apply.
Maximum coverage and minimum noise are different claims
EPA says to multiply room length by width and include the entire area served in an open floor plan. High ceilings need additional consideration. AHAM's sizing example uses a 10-by-12-foot room, 120 sq ft, with a smoke CADR of at least 80; above an 8-foot ceiling, it advises a larger-rated purifier. An unlabelled CADR is not a confirmed smoke rating.
AHAM's testing FAQ says CADR uses the highest fan speed and room coverage decreases at lower speeds. A low noise specification therefore does not prove the listed room capacity at that setting. For lights, operating modes and placement, continue to our quiet bedroom purifier guide.

The annual figures are planning arithmetic from the intervals, not guaranteed lifetimes or a claim that every spare must be bought immediately. For cheap replacement filters, compare delivered pack cost ÷ compatible cartridges, then allow for the replacement schedule and future delivery charges. A multi-pack is worth comparing; its pack total alone cannot establish value.
IKEA identifies a particle-only filter; the Levoit replacement pages list activated carbon among their stages. EPA says CADR rates particles, while gas filtration needs suitable media and sufficient material. Do not use a carbon-layer mention or a filter-efficiency percentage as a substitute for a room-size rating or an established odor-removal rate.
Recheck around Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Repeat the complete-order check before buying during either shopping event. Confirm the same US model, color, included kit, delivery and filter supply; do not carry a maker promotion over to an Amazon offer. If no suitable model meets the cap, wait or revisit the budget instead of substituting a purifier too small for the space. Our general air purifier guide covers the next room-size decision.
Verdict
Start with the Core 200S-P for a room within its maker's rating and a qualifying cart. Choose the blue UPPÅTVIND for button controls or the Core Mini-P for genuinely tiny spaces. The Core 300-P earns consideration when a promotion makes the complete order fit. Buy only after the room, exact spare and final checkout all work together.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best air purifier under 100 for a small room?
Start with the Levoit Core 200S-P if your room fits its manufacturer rating of 140 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour and your delivered order meets the cap. It adds VeSync schedules and voice control. The Core Mini-P is a smaller-space choice: its comparable room rating is only 53 sq ft.
Does the Core 200S-P cover a 672 sq ft room?
Levoit gives that figure at one air change per hour. Its specification for 4.8 air changes per hour is 140 sq ft. Those figures describe different filtration frequencies, so use the smaller rating when comparing this shortlist. Neither figure establishes Sleep-mode coverage: AHAM says CADR is based on the highest fan speed.
Which budget purifier has cheap replacement filters?
Compare the delivered cost per correct cartridge and the replacement schedule before choosing. Core 200S-P takes Core 200S-RF; the selected Core Mini-P filter is LRF-C161-WUS; IKEA specifies UPPÅTVIND particle filter 905.514.98. Pack size, delivery and changing offers decide your bill. This guide does not award a permanent cheapest-filter winner.
Can I wash the IKEA UPPÅTVIND filter?
The particle cartridge is replaceable, not washable: IKEA says its particle filter can only be replaced. The separate pre-filter has different care instructions. IKEA's manual lists pre-filter cleaning every two to four weeks and particle-filter replacement every six months, with the interval depending on the environment. Do not confuse cleaning the pre-filter with renewing the cartridge.
Does the budget include shipping, tax and the first spare filter?
Our cap applies to the purifier, every mandatory accessory, shipping and tax after discounts that actually apply in your cart. Each shortlisted purifier includes a filter, so a spare is a separate future purchase. If your own spending limit must also cover that spare now, add its exact cartridge to the same checkout calculation before deciding.
