About this guide
thisHUSH covers comfort, quiet and air-quality gear, not health. Nothing on this site is medical advice: for sleep, breathing or hearing concerns, talk to a doctor.
Choose the Govee H5075 for a straightforward room display with AAA batteries; choose the H5105 if you specifically want E-Ink and can confirm the exact kit is available. Both offer Bluetooth monitoring and app data export, with optional H5151 gateway compatibility listed by Govee. The H5105's US refurbished two-pack was sold out when last fetched, making the H5075 our practical default for a new purchase.
Quick picks and comparison
- For a bedside table or shelf: H5075, with its LCD and stand or hanging hole.
- For an E-Ink display: H5105, subject to availability and condition checks.
- For phone history without Wi-Fi: either supports Bluetooth and export; the display and battery format decide this comparison.
- For checking while away: plan a compatible gateway setup rather than buying either standalone sensor expecting direct Wi-Fi.

Table sources: H5075 US page, H5105 US refurbished page, Govee specification matrix and H5075 EU page. The range conflict is Govee's own; we do not turn either number into a promise through walls.
Best default: Govee H5075
The H5075 suits the simple job: glance at the room reading, then open the phone app when you want history. Govee specifies an LCD with large numbers, a rear stand and a hanging hole. That makes it our pick for a shelf beside the seating or bedside area you actually want to monitor.
The US page offers single, double and triple packs. Its embedded product data identifies the single unit as H5075001; the larger packs repeat that SKU. Select 1 Pack for one room rather than assuming the page's selected bundle is a different sensor generation.
Govee says it takes two AAA batteries and claims about six months of operation. For buying purposes, we prefer that familiar replacement format when E-Ink is not a priority. Check the chosen package's included-battery description before buying a spare pack.
Check the H5075 and select the pack size at Govee.
Conditional E-Ink pick: Govee H5105
The H5105's reason to choose it is its E-Ink screen. Govee describes readings visible from different angles and says it refreshes when readings change. The maker also describes shelf, desk and wall placement, Bluetooth app connection and customizable temperature and humidity alarms. These are useful display and monitoring features; they do not establish better measurement accuracy.
Govee's matrix marks H5105 Yes under LCD Display, while its model-specific US page calls the screen E-Ink. We use the model page's E-Ink description. Backlighting is unconfirmed in the fetched US text for either sensor; plan on using room light to read the screen.
The US description names H5105 and B5105 together. Match the sensor to H5105 and the package to its full identifier; do not regard a B5105 reference by itself as proof that a particular new or refurbished kit is available. For identification, use the manufacturer's H5105 manual (PDF) alongside the full package code.
Watch the similar names: Govee's current US Smart Thermo-Hygrometer 2s Lite page identifies H5110/B5110, with two AAA batteries and sensor or gateway packages. It is a separate model, not a substitute identifier for this E-Ink H5105. Check that page's model and contents if a shop offers the Lite instead.

Accuracy, display updates and calibration
For the H5075, Govee's US page publishes ±3% RH humidity accuracy, ±0.5°F/±0.32°C temperature accuracy and a 2-second response claim. Its EU specifications instead list ±0.3°C under Temperature Reading Accuracy, so the maker's published temperature tolerances conflict. These are manufacturer claims, not independently verified tolerances. The fetched H5105 US text says high accuracy but supplies no numerical tolerance, so we cannot award it an accuracy win.
Do not confuse an update claim with a logging interval. A screen changing when a reading changes does not tell you how often historical samples are saved. Neither fetched US description establishes the saved sampling interval.
Govee's thermometer and hygrometer FAQ describes app adjustment: select the sensor, open Settings, then calibration to adjust temperature and humidity. It says settings require Bluetooth range. Our advice is to use a reference you trust before applying an offset, and to avoid forcing two disagreeing room sensors to match without knowing which is closer.
Data logging: graphs, export and offline memory
There are different promises to check before choosing the best Bluetooth hygrometer with data logging for your job:
- Graph window: the H5075 US page says you can view 20 days of records. The H5105 US page advertises 20-day graphs.
- Export window: the H5075 US FAQ confirms CSV export without giving a longer window. Its EU page advertises export from the past two years; the H5105 US page also advertises two-year export.
- Offline buffer: those graph and export statements do not specify how long an unconnected sensor retains readings before you collect them. Do not interpret two-year export as permission to leave a sensor unsynced for two years.
Our recommendation is to reconnect regularly, let the graph finish loading and export important periods promptly. Govee's export instructions require an account, then Export Data at the bottom of the graph, an email destination, an interval and a date range. The FAQ specifically says to ensure the chosen time has data in the app. Check the file for the dates you need before relying on it as your record.
Choose between these models on display, batteries and availability rather than an assumed logging advantage. For a broader shortlist, see our indoor humidity and hygrometer guide.
Bluetooth range versus away-from-home access
Without an added gateway, use either model as a local display and a nearby Bluetooth sensor. Govee's matrix lists both as Bluetooth, with a separate Yes for working with the H5151 Wi-Fi hub. A hub compatibility entry is not a direct Wi-Fi radio in the sensor.
The H5075's own US page conflicts: its feature section advertises 60 m/196 ft, while its FAQ says 50 meters (164 feet) in open, unobstructed environments. The H5105 US description says up to 60 m. We would not choose between them on those figures; check connection and alerts from the actual phone location you intend to use.
- Yes: At the sensor: read either model's own display
- Yes: Nearby phone: connect through Govee Home over Bluetooth
- Partly: Away from home: requires an additional compatible gateway setup
- No: Standalone sensor: no direct Wi-Fi connection
An app alert claim does not make a standalone Bluetooth sensor an unattended remote alarm. Before choosing a gateway, verify its exact sensor compatibility and package contents; do not assume a sensor multipack includes one.
Buying guide: the complete order and useful placement
Buy the right batteries, not a generic Govee spare
Govee's model rows specify two AAA batteries for H5075 and a CR2450 button battery for H5105. Their supplies are different, even though both sensors use the same app.

These are matching replacement types, not a claim that Govee supplies Energizer cells. Read the included-items line for the exact package: our fetched US text does not establish every new retail kit's battery and mounting-accessory contents. Add spares if you need them; avoid buying a gateway for a same-room display-and-phone job.
Measure the room rather than the humidifier's spray
Our placement recommendation is a dry spot in the area you want to monitor, outside the mist stream. Keep the H5075 within the Govee FAQ's operating range of 32° to 122°F (0° to 50°C); it is not suited to below-freezing spaces. Govee's general sensor FAQ says its indoor temperature sensor is not waterproof. The EPA's humidifier guidance says not to let the surrounding area become damp or wet and to reduce output if it does.
EPA also says not to humidify above 50% indoor relative humidity. If water condenses on windows or walls, it advises relocating the humidifier, lowering its setting or reducing use. Watch the numeric room reading and visible dampness rather than using a screen's comfort label as your operating target. Our humidifier buying guide covers the appliance choice.
For setup, Govee says to search the model printed on the sensor's back when adding it in the app. The export FAQ says to wait for the graph to load completely. Our reference-check advice and dry-placement recommendation above give the rest of this sequence:
Identify the model
Match the sensor's rear label to the model selected in Govee Home.
Choose a dry spot
Place outside the mist stream; reduce humidifier output if surfaces become damp.
Finish the sync
Let the graph finish loading before exporting the period you need.
Adjust with a reference
Use calibration after a comparison you trust, rather than guessing an offset.
How we choose
This comparison is based on Govee's product pages, its model-specific compatibility matrix and its app FAQ, with Energizer sources for the replacement types and EPA guidance for humidifier use. We have not physically evaluated these sensors. We keep manufacturer claims, our buying judgments and unconfirmed details separate: Bluetooth range conflicts are disclosed, two-year export is not called two-year offline storage, and the refurbished H5105 is conditional on current stock.
See how we choose for the site's research method. Availability was checked November 2, 2026.
Verdict
Get the H5075 single pack for the straightforward room-monitoring job. Choose H5105 for E-Ink only after confirming availability, condition and the exact package. Match spares to AAA versus CR2450, and regard away-from-home monitoring as a separate gateway decision.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better, the Govee H5075 or H5105?
The H5075 is our default for a new purchase: it has an LCD, uses two AAA batteries and has a current US product page offering several pack sizes. The H5105 is the alternative for an E-Ink display and a CR2450 battery. Its US refurbished two-pack was sold out when last fetched, so confirm current availability and condition before choosing it.
Do the Govee H5075 and H5105 work without Wi-Fi?
Yes, for their on-device displays and nearby Bluetooth use through Govee Home. Neither sensor has a direct Wi-Fi connection in Govee's specification matrix. That matrix separately lists both as compatible with the H5151 Wi-Fi hub. Regard access through a compatible gateway as an additional setup; a standalone sensor's Bluetooth range does not provide away-from-home monitoring.
How much history do these Govee hygrometers store?
Separate the graph window, export window and offline memory. The H5075 US page confirms viewing 20 days of records and CSV export; its EU page additionally advertises export from the past two years. The H5105 US page advertises 20-day graphs and two-year export. These statements do not establish a two-year offline buffer or specify the saved sampling interval. Reconnect regularly and check that the dates you need have loaded.
What batteries do the Govee H5075 and H5105 use?
The H5075 uses two AAA batteries. The H5105 uses a CR2450 button battery, according to Govee's model-specific specification matrix. Energizer MAX AAA alkaline batteries and Energizer 2450 lithium coin batteries are matching replacement types. Check the included-battery line for your exact sensor kit before adding spares; the two sensor models do not share a battery format.
Can you calibrate a Govee Bluetooth hygrometer?
Govee's thermometer and hygrometer FAQ describes a calibration menu in Govee Home: select the sensor, open Settings and select calibration to adjust temperature and humidity. It also says you must be within Bluetooth range to enter settings. Our advice is to compare against a reference you trust before applying an offset; a disagreement between two room sensors alone does not identify which needs adjustment.
Is the H5105 the same as the Smart Thermo-Hygrometer 2s Lite?
No. The H5105 is the Smart Thermo-Hygrometer 2s with an E-Ink display. Govee's US Smart Thermo-Hygrometer 2s Lite page identifies H5110 and B5110 and describes two AAA batteries and several sensor or gateway packages. Check the model number and package contents rather than treating the similar 2s names as interchangeable versions of the same sensor.
